Ukrainian and Russian students appeal for peace

A message of peace from southern Portugal: students from the Albufeira Poente School Group from Ukraine and Russia join the call for an end to the war between the two countries. Both Ukrainians and Russians said they were saddened by the situation and stressed the importance of unity between the two peoples.

Daria, a Ukrainian student: "It makes me a little sad and a little useless to see where I have memories and where my family suffers."

Ukrainian student Yaroslav: "It's not people who do it, but other things... That's why Russian or Ukrainian doesn't matter to me. What matters is the person, what kind of person he is."

Lyubov, a student of Russian origin: "We must be united. We cannot speak ill of each other because we are like brothers."
